Charlayne Woodard is the street-smart counselor named Kate who turns Simon around after a brush with the law lands him in rehab. Woodard began her career at the Goodman School of Drama, where she received the Sarah Siddons Award. On the stage she has written and appeared in several off-Broadway plays including "Pretty Fire," winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, and "Neat," nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award. On television she has appeared in recurring roles on "Roseanne," "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Chicago Hope," and has guest starred on "Frasier" and the mini-series "Buffalo Girls." Woodard's feature film credits including Henry Jaglom's BABY FEVER, John Schlesinger's EYE FOR AN EYE and THE CRUCIBLE, directed by Nicolas Hytner.
